This cancer family history (CFH) training program is free. We offer training materials in both English and Spanish to community health worker (CHW) training centers and programs employing CHWs.

We aim to promote and increase awareness in cancer services that are based on family health history. CHWs serve as the bridge between communities and health care services. Therefore, training CHWs in CFH and genetic testing will assist a large number of underserved populations to engage in personalized primary and secondary cancer prevention activities.

The materials and toolkit we offer include the…

• CFH training curriculum,

• step-by-step implementation guide on how to effectively train CHWs, and

• information regarding potential barriers and corresponding solutions.

​In addition, CHWs will receive 6 state-certified continuing education units (CEUs) after the completion of the training!
